What are the responsibilities and job description for the Forklift Driver position at Polar Beverages?
About the role :
Polar is looking to hire experienced forklift drivers on day and night shifts for our Chicopee cross dock. Weekends will be required depending on shuttle and weekend schedules will fluctuate.
Day shift hours are from 6am - 5pm, Monday - Friday
Night shift hours are from 5pm - 4am, Monday - Friday
Hours are subject to change to cover high volume and vacations
Responsibilities :
Scan all loads and shuttle, receiving, warehousing, and rotation of product.
Work in a fast-paced environment, talk to pick up drivers and shuttle drivers
Work with inventory team to complete quarterly physical inventory counts.
Inspect the fork lift before shift, filling out pre / post shift inspection report.
Maintain the cleanliness of the warehouse interior and exterior to meet SQF standards
Complete cycle counts as needed.
Must have excellent teamwork skills, ability to use RF scanning equipment, operate in a high speed fast paced environment and willing to work long hours including weekends as needed.
Minimum Qualifications :
1 year of forklift experience
Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
Attention to detail and ability to work efficiently
Good communication skills
