What are the responsibilities and job description for the Regional Sales Manager - Mountain West position at Polar Beverages?
Overview: Responsible for launching and developing the Polar portfolio in the Mountain West markets. This role will call on Admiral and cover the following states; Utah, New Mexico, Montana and Alaska primarily with parts of Northern Colorado, Southern Idaho and Western Dakota’s; for all sales and marketing activities within the assigned territories. Travel will be at 50% out of 52 weeks.
Responsibilities:
- Develop sales and distribution goals by distribution based on market indicators
- Ride with salespeople, supervisors and key account reps
- Attend sales meetings and present new items and programs
- Recommend pricing strategies within the distributor's margin requirement and assist with promotional calendars for all channels
- Analyze Nielsen reports and share data with distributors and share data with distributors and key retailers. Educate them on the growth opportunities in the sparkling category.
- Manage Field Sales Representative(s) with frequent check-ins to ensure they execute weekly selling objectives that support territory objectives
- Attend buyer calls with or without key account reps. Manage and coordinate chain activity over multiple distributor territories
- Identify growth opportunities, develop a plan and execute
- Assist distributors with the ordering process (Polar Link), manage inventory levels and forecasting
- Handle all credits and act as the liaison with Polar Corporate
- Monitor Polar assets ROI
- Evaluate distributor’s performance and recommend options when needed
- Must understand the company’s commitment to food, safety, quality, and continuous improvement as outlined in the Polar Beverages Safety and Quality Policy and to understand the responsibility for carrying out the outlined principles as an expectation of the job.
- Must understand and follow Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs) and to ensure GMP compliance of fellow employees.
Minimum Requirements:
- 2-4 years previous sales experience
- Prior cold call experience preferred
- Good organizational and communication skills
- Valid driver’s license
- Good driving record
