Job Description: We are seeking a meticulous and detail-oriented Inspector to ensure the highest standards of quality in our manufacturing processes. As an Inspector, you will play a crucial role in maintaining the integrity and safety of our aerospace products.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct thorough inspections of aerospace components and assemblies to ensure compliance with industry standards and specifications.
- Utilize precision measuring instruments and tools to verify dimensions, tolerances, and quality of materials.
- Document and report inspection results, identifying any defects or non-conformities.
- Collaborate with production and engineering teams to address quality issues and implement corrective actions.
- Maintain accurate records of inspections and quality control processes.
- Stay updated with industry regulations and best practices to ensure continuous improvement.
- Work from shop routers, operation sheets, blueprints, and other specifications to ensure that all manufactured parts or materials are in full compliance.
- Perform receiving inspection from outside suppliers, as needed.
- Perform certification review, material verifications, and visual inspection for compliance.
- · Prevent the recurrence of nonconformities by identification, segregation, and reporting the corrective action to the appropriate leadership in accordance with procedures.
- Ability to work as a team player in a fast-paced environment with Manufacturing, Operations, and Production Control.
- Maintain a clean work environment (including assigned storage and cleaning duties) in full compliance with all internal, customer and government regulations.
- Interconnect with the Production/Shop Floor management personnel on quality issues and corrective actions, as required.
- Provide technical input in areas that involve process inspection methods and acceptance criteria to Engineering, Purchasing and Manufacturing, as required.
- Maintains positive, team relationship with internal and external customers, as well as co-workers.
Qualifications:
- Technical certification or associate degree in a related field preferred.
- Proven experience as an Inspector in a manufacturing environment, preferably in the aerospace industry.
- Strong understanding of quality control principles and inspection techniques.
- Proficiency in using precision measuring instruments (e.g., calipers, micrometers, gauges).
- Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
