Join Our Team: Network Engineer / NOC Engineer
Are you a skilled IT/network professional passionate about impactful innovation? Polar Field Services, experts in enabling extraordinary endeavors in challenging environments since 1999, seeks a Network Engineer / NOC Engineer to contribute to the research and deployment of this transformative FSOC technology.
Your Role:
As a key member of the Taara project, you'll provide Tier 2-3 technical support, troubleshoot network issues, drive continuous improvement of FSOC, stay current with technologies, collaborate on deployments, travel internationally (~10%), communicate technical information to customers, and contribute to a problem-solving team.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's in Computer Engineering or related field 5 years relevant experience.
- Remote support experience with Zabbix, Splunk, Grafana.
- Linux CLI, shell/Python scripting, crontab, network configuration skills.
- Familiarity with GCP/AWS and hybrid deployments.
- Strong communication and problem-solving abilities.
- Comprehensive understanding of OSI layers 1-3.
- Proven experience with physical network systems and troubleshooting.
Bonus Points: Master's degree, relevant certifications (Cisco/Juniper), SQL/Grafana experience, gRPC/gNMI familiarity, Google Workspace proficiency.
Schedule: Full-time, M-F, 8 am-5 pm with occasional flexibility for critical outages and international travel.
