Job Summary
Polar Semiconductor is seeking highly qualified and motivated candidates to fill the role of Senior Systems Engineer. As a Senior Systems Engineer you will be responsible for designing, implementing, maintaining, and securing Polar's compute systems and networks.
Candidate will work in coordination with a team of engineers to provide delivery of robust, secure, and highly available services in support of our World Class semiconductor manufacturing environment.
Duties and Responsibilities
Manage, monitor and install Server Operating Systems and hardware
Works in conjunction with cyber security team to mitigate vulnerabilities to ensure a highly secure compute environment
Participates in on-call rotation
Uses PowerShell to automate routine administrative tasks
Immediately responds to critical company infrastructure issues
Upgrades systems with new releases and models
Maintains security, backup, and redundancy strategies
Prepares and compiles detailed metrics and reports for management consumption
Manages hardware and software lifecycles
Participates in project planning and incident management
Skills and Knowledge
Experience managing server hardware with Industry standard tools (HPSIM / Kace)
PowerShell / Python / Power Automate scripting knowledge
Expert Linux and Windows systems administration skills
Expertise in Storage Area Networks (SAN) and Storage Array Management (Hitachi / NetApp)
Solid Cloud Experience (Azure / Intune / Entra)
Ability to develop and maintain technical documentation
Detailed understanding of core network services (AD / DNS / DHCP)
Demonstrated knowledge of network and server security
Working knowledge of Disaster Recovery and Business Continuity concepts and practices
Oracle and SQL Db management
Experience with virtualization and containerization (e.g., VMware, Hyper-V)
Expert knowledge in identify management (Active Directory / Azure AD (Entra) / Group Policy)
Strong Troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
Working Conditions
Hybrid Remote (3 days per week in office)
Qualifications
Bachelor of Science in Computer Science or a related field
10 or more years' work experience as a System Engineer or related position
Ability to work together with teams from several departments to facilitate the orderly execution of a proposed project plans
Current understanding of best practices regarding system security measures

The estimated base salary range for the position is $70,000-$155,000. The pay offered is based on many factors including, but not limited to, relevant education, job-related experience, skills and level of the position.
