Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Inventory and Planning Lead to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in overseeing supply chain operations, ensuring efficient inventory management, and optimizing ordering and work order processes, and timely and organized inventory management . This position requires strong analytical skills and a comprehensive understanding of inventory and planning best practices. This role will entail a combination of administrative and direct floor support, so this role will require strong computer skills and a willingness and ability to engage in manufacturing and logistics.
Responsibilities
- Lead the inventory team in developing and executing supply chain strategies to meet organizational goals.
- Analyze inventory levels and forecast demand to ensure optimal stock levels are maintained.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to streamline shipping and receiving processes.
- Utilize home-built and/or MRP systems to monitor production schedules and inventory requirements.
- Constantly evaluate and improve our inventory and work order processes.
- Train and mentor team members on best practices in inventory management.
Qualifications
- Strong analytical skills and ability to use and interpret data.
- Experience with inventory management systems and MRP software.
- Knowledge of shipping and receiving protocols within a warehouse environment.
- Forklift certification, or willingness to obtain within the company, is required.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to collaborate effectively across departments.
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail in managing multiple priorities.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- Experience working in a manufacturing environment is preferred but not required.
