Part-time Protection Agent
with expertise in protection and access control protocols. The role would support all protection tasks, critical incidents, crisis management updates/communications, and any administrative tasks associated with protecting the designated premises or the Agent’s assigned Principal.
The ideal candidate maintains careful attention to detail, thrives in a team and high-pressure environments, and functions as an effective, consistent communicator to deliver critical Client updates professionally, accurately, and on time.
The salary will be commensurate with your experience, ranging from
$40 to $45 per hour
As an armed
Part-time Protection Agent
Responsibilities
, you would be responsible for the physical security of an assigned, designated premises and/or any assigned Principal(s) or corporate executive(s) at a Client site in the NYC area:
Oversee the timely and effective execution of protective/access control initiatives for the premises.
Maintain a discreet yet alert profile while on duty.
During static or mobile patrols, secure the premises, ensuring the safety and well-being of the Client and its personnel while maintaining a hospitable atmosphere and professional/personable demeanor in executing your duties.
When appropriate and directed to do so, investigate suspicious individuals or behaviors, responding to any potential threats in a de-escalating manner, per Polaris’ and the Client’s site protocols.
Coordinate with corporate security, vendors, or third parties to plan security for special events and, as necessary, support/enhance security protocols for special events or security initiatives.
Required Qualifications
Requisite physical protection/access control training via prior law enforcement or military experience, with corporate security experience as a plus.

- Consistently maintain exceptional professionalism, punctuality, careful attention to detail, and the physical stature and mental acuity to fulfill the functions of the role.
- An active security guard license to work armed in NYC is required for this position.
- Corporate client coordination or customer service experience, including the ability to interact effectively at all levels and across diverse cultures.
- Ability to maintain composure and execute rapid, professional decisions. The candidate must have a proven record of exercising sound judgment in challenging environments with active or evolving threats.
- Additional medical certifications or security training, including AED and CPR.
- Experience with crowd/event safety controls and protecting high-profile executives or public figures in a corporate security or LE capacity. Experience with access control systems and software.
- Interest in a flexible work schedule, up to 15 hours per week, with the potential for more hours.
