Position title : Assistant Director of Nursing
Polaris Healthcare and Rehabilitation Center, a beautiful 100-bed facility which includes a 14 bed vent unit, is located in the Milford Wellness Village. We are seeking an experienced Assistant Director of Nursing .
Position Summary for the Assistant Director of Nursing :
This position is responsible for the overall direction, coordination and evaluation of nursing care and services provided to the residents. This person will also help to ensure that quality care is provided to our residents consistent with company and regulatory standards.
Duties & Responsibilities for the Assistant Director of Nursing :
- Screens prospective admissions for level of care and anticipated needs required by federal regulations. Collects and reviews available records, interviews resident, designated family members with consent of resident and legal representative. Conveys information to unit staff and assists staff to prepare for admissions of new resident
- Responsible for making daily rounds on unit to supervise, observe, examine, interview residents, evaluate staffing needs, monitor regulatory compliance, to achieve the care environment and to evaluate staff interactions and clinical skills competency
- Utilizes resources in an efficient and economic manner to ensure that each resident achieves the highest practicable physical, mental, and psychosocial well-being
Assists Director of Nursing with preparation for Department of Health Survey
