Polaris Healthcare and Rehabilitation is a beautiful 100-bed facility located on the campus of Milford Wellness Village in Milford, Delaware. We are searching for a Nursing Home Administrator who has the desire to create an environment where employees are engaged and are focused on providing the highest level of care to our residents.
Position Description for the Nursing Home Administrator position :
- Plans, develops, organizes, implements, and directs the facility’s daily operations.
- Assists department directors in the development and use of departmental policies and procedures, and establish a rapport in and between departments.
- Makes routine inspections of the facility and assures that established policies and procedures are followed at all times.
- Maintains confidentiality of all resident information and ensures that staff do the same.
- Assures that Resident Rights are followed and maintained at all times.
- Communicates to all involved entities time and appropriately.
- Represents the facility in dealings with outside agencies, including governmental agencies and third-party payers.
- Maintains an effective and timely communication with residents, families and staff.
- Reviews and develops a plan of correction for deficiencies noted during survey inspections.
- Maintains a good public relations program that serves the best interest of the facility and community alike.
- Serves on and / or coordinates functions of several committees and ensures documentation of meeting reports.
- Maintains an excellent working relationship with the medical profession and other health-related facilities and organizations.
- Qualifications for the Nursing Home Administrator position :
- Current active license as Nursing Home Administrator in the state of Delaware preferred.
- 3-5 years of experience as a Nursing Home Administrator
- Bachelor’s degree in health administration or related area.
