Job Summary:
The Pharmacy Cycle-Fill Technician picks, labels, scans and otherwise prepares the finished prescription for final verification by a pharmacist.
SCHEDULE: Mon-Fri with alternating weekends 10a-6:3p
Duties/Responsibilities:
- Pull/pick medications from shelving and other medication storage areas (prepack racks)
- Accuracy check of final preparation prior to presenting to pharmacist
- Fill daily drug orders accurately and efficiently and in a timely and prioritized manner, under the supervision of a pharmacist
- Assist in processing returned drugs and recycle/dispose per procedure
- Assist in pre-packing frequently ordered medications; label and stock as needed during low volume times
- Package materials and products manually
- Follow all applicable government regulations, including HIPAA
- Maintain clean/organized workstation areas and replenish all stock supplies needed each shift
- Alert pharmacist on duty of any medication/product that is not scanning properly
- Comply with departmental policies regarding safety, attendance, and dress code
- Overtime, holidays, and weekends may be required and/or expected
- Other duties as assigned; Job duties may vary depending on business needs
- Travel and interact with nursing staff personnel monthly while performing med exchanges
QUALIFICATIONS/COMPETENCIES:

Required Skills/Abilities:
- Good organizational skills and detail oriented
- Basic math and analytical skills
- Computer knowledge is a must.
- Ability to read, write, speak and understand the English language.
- Ability to physically perform light lifting.
- Must be able to work various shifts and days.
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:
- High School diploma or equivalent required
- Pharmacy technician licenses/certifications required by state regulations and state of practice.
- Previous pharmacy experience preferred (one or more years of long-term care experience preferred)
PHYSICAL DEMANDS

- Paid holidays are provided annually, with 6 days offered each year, along with 5 sick days.

Please note, because we are a pharmacy most of our locations are open 24-hours a day, 7 days a week and therefore schedules may change as determined by the needs of the business.
