JOB SUMMARY:
The Automated Dispensing Traveling Technician will primarily travel to complete device installations at facilities across our servicing footprint, perform training sessions at facilities and or pharmacies which could be either onsite or remote sessions as needed along with assisting the Automation team with day-to-day tasks and ongoing projects. Additionally, they visit clients and troubleshoot problems with the automated technology. This position acts as the point of contact for the automated dispensing system and will report up to and receive direction from the Director of Pharmacy Automation.
DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Perform ADD installations and deinstallations at facilities and pharmacies as needed.
- Perform ADD training sessions at facilities and pharmacies as needed.
- Visit customers to troubleshoot problems and perform audits of medication as necessary.
- Assist with investigating and resolving automation (MedBank) related issues.
- When not traveling or working on other tasks designated by the Automation Director:
- Assist the local pharmacy with preparation of the finished prescription product, proper labeling including cautionary and auxiliary labels, as well as other light warehouse duties.
- Assist with filling daily drug orders accurately and efficiently in a timely and prioritized manner, under the supervision of a pharmacist.
- Assist with packaging materials and products manually.
- Assist in processing returned drugs and recycle/dispose per procedure.
- Assist in shipping and preparing orders for delivery.
- Follow all applicable government regulations including HIPAA.
- Other duties as assigned; Job duties may vary depending on business needs.
- Knowledge of Data Entry and / or Purchasing experience is a plus.
- Perform other duties assigned by management.

QUALIFICATIONS/COMPETENCIES:

REQUIRED SKILLS/ABILITIES:
- Good organizational skills and detail oriented.
- Basic math and analytical skills.
- Computer knowledge is a must.
- Ability to read, write, speak and understand the English language.
- Ability to physically perform light lifting.
- Must be able to work various shifts and days.
- Ability to travel from state to state via air and ground.
- Ability to stay in lodging multiple nights in a row when traveling.
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:
- Experience in pharmacy automation (MedBank, Pyxis, Omnicell) preferred.
- Pharmacy technician licenses/certifications required by state regulations and state of practice.
- High School diploma or equivalent.
- Previous pharmacy experience required (one-year experience in long-term care preferred).
PHYSICAL DEMANDS

HOLIDAY & PTO POLICY
- Paid holidays are provided annually, with 6 days offered each year, along with 5 sick days.

Please note, because we are a pharmacy most of our locations are open 24-hours a day, 7 days a week and therefore schedules may change as determined by the needs of the business.
