LEAD PURCHASING SUPPORT SPECIALIST

OVERVIEW
We are seeking a dynamic detail-oriented, experienced Purchasing Support Specialist. You will be responsible for participating in the procurement process and ensuring the timely delivery of goods and services. The ideal candidate will have a background in pharmacy purchasing and inventory control.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Work closely and report directly to the Purchasing Manager.
- Assist in determining purchasing needs and requirements.
- Monitor inventory levels and ensure timely delivery of goods and services.
- Assist in the procurement process from creating purchase orders to receiving deliveries.
- Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures.
- Receive incoming products, confirming no damage, good dating, and accurate quantities.
- Maintain accurate records of purchases, pricing, and preferred vendor compliance.
Qualifications
QUALIFICATIONS
- Healthcare/ Pharmacy purchasing experience preferred.
- Knowledge of procurement best practices and procedures
- Knowledge using software QS1 preferred not required.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks effectively.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS

- May sit or stand five (5) to eight (8) hours per day.
- The employee is occasionally required to sit; climb or balance; and stoop, kneel, bend, and crouch.
- May be necessary to work extended hours rotating weekends as needed.
- Able to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.

HOLIDAY & PTO POLICY
- Paid holidays are provided annually, with 6 days offered each year, along with 5 sick days.
- Employees earn up to 10 PTO days each year, with rollover options and milestone bonuses.
- Employees have the option to cash out up to 10 PTO hours each quarter for added financial flexibility.
Please note, because we are a pharmacy most of our locations are open 24 hours a day, 7 days a week and therefore schedules may change as determined by the needs of the business.
