PHARMACY TECHNICIAN LEAD

OVERVIEW
The Pharmacy Fill Technician Lead is responsible for providing supervisory assistance to the Floor Supervisor overseeing and leading the pharmacy delivery order and fulfillment operations as well as bulk order medication fulfillment.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Work with the supervisor to provide direct oversight of fulfillment personnel associated with packaging/dispensing, bulk fulfillment, staging and delivery
- Work with the supervisor to coordinate stock medication expiration date weekly reviews
- Work with the supervisor to ensure appropriate level of inventory is maintained and packaging activities provide enough stock for daily operations
- Work with the supervisor to coordinate all activities associated with packaging, dispensing and staging
- Work with the supervisor to ensure coordination of tote staging with all orders
- Meet delivery deadlines through effective delivery coordination
- Collaborate with other departments including, but not limited to, Pharmacists, Order Entry, Billing, IT Support, and Human Resources.
- Collaborate with delivery and inventory control to achieve daily production and services goals.
- Comply with department policies regarding safety, attendance, and dress code
- Comply with all applicable state and federal regulations related to pharmacy practices.
- Customer Focus dedication to meeting the expectations and requirements of internal/external customers; talking and acting with the customer in mind.
- Participate in special projects or training to identify and implement operational improvements
- Follow all applicable government regulations, including HIPPA
- Ensure safety policy and procedures are consistently adhered to and practiced
- Overtime, holidays, and weekends may be required and/or expected
- Other duties as directed or assigned; Job duties may vary depending on business needs
QUALIFICATIONS
- High School diploma or equivalent required
- Pharmacy technician licenses/certifications required by state regulations and state of practice
- Minimum 3 years experience working in a supervisor capacity in Pharmacy or relevant education background
- Basic computer knowledge skills required; technology background, PC software courses, and use of automation equipment beneficial
- Working knowledge of commercial automation/dispensing modalities and/or manufacturing processes/production operations
- Must understand medical terminology, math, and analytical skills
- Able to work at a moderate speed
- Able to work during inclement weather

- Good organization/Attention to detail
- Must be able to work various shifts and days
PHYSICAL DEMANDS

- May sit or stand seven (7) to ten (10) hours per day

HOLIDAY & PTO POLICY
- Paid holidays are provided annually, with 6 days offered each year, along with 5 sick days.
- Employees earn up to 10 PTO days each year, with rollover options and milestone bonuses.

Please note, because we are a pharmacy most of our locations are open 24-hours a day, 7 days a week and therefore schedules may change as determined by the needs of the business.
