Job Summary

Director, Wealth Management – San Francisco Bay Area

Polaris Wealth Advisory Group, LLC is an independently owned, federally registered investment adviser. We are a fee-only adviser and do not charge commissions for buying or selling stocks or bonds. Our services include: tactical portfolio management, private wealth management and financial planning provided with a focus on developing long-term, successful relationships.

We are seeking a Director, Wealth Management to generate new client relationships and convert prospective clients to existing clients. The position builds centers of influence and actively networks to develop referral sources. The position generally introduces clients to the firm’s wealth management team for relationship management and service but may serve as the advisor and primary point of contact for approximately 30 clients. Requires extensive travel throughout San Francisco Bay Area.

Responsibilities include:

  • Develop new relationships by building a pipeline of opportunities.
  • Partner with centers of influence to build relationships and develop a network of potential referral sources.
  • Assess prospects’ financial needs and objectives, select financial planning solutions that will fit the client’s risk tolerance and time frame, and present customized wealth management plans.
  • Present the company’s investment strategies and solutions at sales seminars throughout the region.

Required Education, Experience & Skills

  • Prior experience developing strategies for new client outreach and marketing.
  • Prior experience networking and expanding customer base while working with existing clients.
  • Broad background in retirement products, general investment matters and applicable tax and estate planning issues.
  • Demonstrated experience with public speaking and the ability to make group presentations.
  • The ability to explain difficult concepts in easy to understand ways.
  • Disciplined self-starter with ability to work independently and in a team environment.
  • Strong PowerPoint skills and proficiency in Microsoft Office and CRM software.
  • Organized, detail-oriented, and excellent time-management skills.
  • Series 65 mandatory.
  • Professional designation of Certified Financial Planner (CFP®) preferred.
  • Bachelor's Degree strongly preferred and weighted.
  • Valid California driver’s license; applicant must have own car.

Pay: $135,000.00 - $150,000.00 per year
