Position Summary This is a subcontracting position, meaning you will operate as an independent contractor responsible for providing your own means of transportation and materials (excluding the pressure washer). Contractors with their own pressure washer and necessary materials may qualify for enhanced compensation per contract.

As a Dumpster Sanitation Technician, you will play a critical role in ensuring high-quality services, maintaining professionalism, and adhering to all safety protocols. You will be responsible for cleaning and sanitizing garbage cans efficiently, documenting your work, and maintaining open and professional communication with clients, contractors, and supervisors.

Duties and Responsibilities

Communication and Scheduling:

• Coordinate with homeowners or businesses to schedule cleaning services at suitable times.
• Maintain clear and professional communication with clients to ensure expectations are met.
• Communicate with your supervisor to clarify scheduled cleanings and coordinate with other contractors as needed.
• Ensure all interactions with clients, contractors, and supervisors are conducted in a professional and respectful manner.

Punctuality and Professionalism:

• Arrive promptly for all scheduled appointments and maintain a professional demeanor at all times.
• Handle all client interactions with respect and attentiveness.

Cleaning and Sanitizing:

• Ensure garbage cans are fully emptied of trash and recyclables before cleaning.
• Manually remove loose or stuck waste prior to using equipment.
• Clean the interior and exterior of garbage cans, focusing on eliminating residues, dirt, and odors.
• Use appropriate, eco-friendly detergents and disinfectants.
• Optionally apply deodorizing agents to keep cans smelling fresh.

Equipment and Safety:

• Set up safety measures to avoid accidents or damage to surrounding areas.
• Direct water runoff appropriately to comply with local regulations.
• Handle and maintain all cleaning materials and equipment with care.

Documentation:

• Keep detailed records of completed services, including before-and-after photos.
• Provide clients with a summary of the services performed and any recommendations for maintenance.

Key Requirements

Materials and Tools:

• Contractors must provide their own means of transportation to and from job site.
• Necessary safety gear, including goggles, facial protection masks, gloves, and non-slip footwear.
• Small garbage bags for waste collection and proper disposal.
• Brushes or scrapers for manual waste removal.

Knowledge and Skills:

• Proficiency in operating a pressure washer and understanding how to adjust water pressure and select appropriate nozzles.
• Ability to assess and measure pressure washer fluid/solution ratios.
• Familiarity with eco-friendly cleaning agents and disinfectants.
• Strong organizational skills and time management abilities.
• Attention to detail to ensure thorough cleaning and accurate documentation.
• Physical stamina to lift and move garbage cans and perform cleaning tasks for extended periods.
• Punctuality and reliability to meet scheduled appointments consistently.

Job Type: Contract

Pay: $8.00 - $120.00 per day

Schedule:

• Day shift
• Monday to Friday
• Weekends as needed
