Job Summary:

The Air Duct Cleaning Technician ensures optimal indoor air quality by meticulously cleaning HVAC systems. The Air Duct Cleaning technician is responsible for maintaining cleanliness and orderliness in various environments, ensuring high standards of workmanship and safety. This role requires a proactive approach to cleaning tasks, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.

Duties/Responsibilities:

• Perform routine duct cleaning tasks in residential and commercial settings, including working around dust, molds, mildews, and generally dirty spaces.
• Operate and maintain cleaning equipment effectively while adhering to safety protocols.
• Identify and report any maintenance issues or repairs needed within the facilities.
• Follow established cleaning schedules and ensure all tasks are completed in a timely manner.
• Maintain inventory of cleaning supplies and request replenishments as necessary.
• Provide exceptional customer service by addressing client concerns and requests promptly.
• Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient workflow and high-quality service delivery.
• Perform other relevant duties as assigned by the needs of the business.

• Great interpersonal and communication skills.
• Strong mechanical knowledge related to equipment repair and maintenance is preferred.
• Familiarity with HVAC/R systems is a plus, including air conditioning maintenance.
• Ability to read and interpret schematics for various cleaning equipment.
• Leadership skills to guide less experienced team members when necessary.
• Experience as a service technician or in appliance repair is beneficial.
• Excellent attention to detail with a commitment to maintaining cleanliness standards.
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently.
• Ability to work after hours, over weekends, and on public holidays with short or no notice.

Education and Experience:

High school diploma or equivalent required.

• Vocational/technical school training or apprenticeship preferred.
• Two years of related experience preferred.
• Location, Physical Requirements, and Personal Protective Equipment (PPE):
• Conditions may include working inside and/or outside. May work in tight, cramped spaces with limited accessibility. Working closely with others or working alone.
• Prolonged periods of standing, kneeling, crawling, or climbing ladders.
• Will be required to work in settings with extreme cold or extreme heat, depending on time of year.
• Ability to sit, stand, walk, kneel occasionally; Bend, stoop, reach with arms supported and unsupported; Push, pull, grasp, twist and turn frequently, lift up to 50 pounds unassisted, lift up to 100 pounds with assistance work in tight, cramped spaces, crawl and climb ladders infrequently; ability to perceive depth and operate a motor vehicle.
• Equipment used in performing the essential job functions include but are not limited to: ladders, step stools, hammers, screwdrivers, wrenches, tow strap, and pliers. iPad, iPhone, and other computer equipment is also used in the course of performing essential job functions.
• Will be required to wear personal protective equipment including but not limited to: protective eye/face shields, gloves, and appropriate footwear.

Certifications:

Valid driver’s license.
