You'll work closely with our business, overseeing and managing the financial operations of Polestar North America, ensuring accuracy, efficiency, and compliance in all financial processes. This role will report into the CFO of North America located in our office in Mahwah, New Jersey.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support various activities such as budgeting, forecasting, and auditing, ensuring all processes are in accordance with applicable rules and regulations and internal policies.
- Implement and maintain internal controls to ensure compliance with SOX requirements, documenting and testing SOX controls, as required.
- Assist in the preparation of financial reports, budgets, and forecasting.
- Provide critical insights to shape decisions of key stakeholders.
- Analyze financial data to identify trends, patterns, and opportunities for improvement.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve discrepancies or issues related to financial operations.
- Ensure accurate and timely processing of invoices, payments, and PO's.
- Collaborate with accounts payable & receivable to ensure timely and accurate payment processing.
- Monitor and reconcile financial transactions and accounts.
- Update and maintain our financial systems (SAP).
- Develop and implement efficient financial processes and procedures that support the business's needs.
- Support business operations functions in financial matters as needed.
Requirements:
- 2-3 years of experience in a relevant position (automotive experience a plus)
- Bachelor's/master's degree in a quantitative discipline or the equivalent experience or evidence of exceptional ability.
- SAP experience (or similar) required.
- Possess strong Excel experience and comfortable analyzing data, you like analyzing data to find business opportunities and risks.
- Experience in Power BI (or similar) visualization tools.
- You thrive by working in a fast-paced environment.
- Have a strong interest in the commercial and financial aspects of the business.
- You're collaborative, flexible, have an open working style and an ability to establish trust and credibility.
- You're structured, self-motivated, data-driven and have a quantitative problem-solving approach.
