The job of Director of Sales and Marketing entails marketing and selling our eLearning services to law enforcement agencies across the nation. Our client prospects communicate with the Director to request proposals, information, and online demonstrations, by telephone or email. This position markets Police Law Institute (PLI) through multiple channels, contacts prospective clients, follows-up on inbound leads, gives demos, generates proposals and closes sales with support from Client Services. The primary duties involve executing on marketing plans, tracking and following up on leads the organization generates based on direct marking, web marketing, industry conferences, client referrals and cold calling. The Director handles the project execution actions and overall coordination between Client Services and Management.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Developing and accomplishing a regional lead generation plan, meeting for exceeding monthly and annual targets;
- Identifying decision makers amongst the targeted leads, in order to begin the sales process;
- Cooperating with Management to determine essential strategic approaches for sales and marketing;
- Maintaining and expanding the database of prospects of the organization.
- Outbound and inbound account management;
- Attending sales group meetings concerning sales targets or forecasts, reporting on the market situation;
- Handling cancellations or changes in sales proposals and communicating the changes with the related departments;
- Coordinating with Client Services for the clean hand-off of new customers
- Creating and consolidating reports for monthly sales performance;
- Providing effective online demos for prospective customers.
- Emphasizing service or product features and benefits, discussing terms, quoting prices, and preparing sales proposals;
- Creating and delivering qualified opportunities for an onsite follow-up to Management where needed;
- Capturing of accurate and complete information in the Customer Relationship Management system (CRM).

Education and Qualifications
- Degree in Marketing or Business related field, or
- Relevant training and experience (2-3 years) in Sales & Marketing.

Salary : $45,000 - $90,000
