Position Overview
The candidate may work remotely but must reside in the Washington, DC area and be available to attend meetings with the Governing for All team at the DC office. Additionally, the candidate must be able to represent the team at external events and meetings in the DC area.
The G4A team is made up of the Managing Director of Governing for All, along with the Senior Director of Legal Research and Development, the Director of Federal Policy and Advocacy, and the Director of State Policy and Advocacy. The Coordinator will report directly to the Managing Director and will provide support to all team members.
The G4A workstreams include:
- Legal research and development of new legal standards for equal protection
- Federal policy and advocacy, including model federal legislation and regulatory reform
- State policy and advocacy in support of a Kitchen Table of State Power-Building organizations
- Founder’s narrative campaign
The Coordinator will be responsible for supporting all workstreams within the G4A portfolio and assisting team members with day-to-day calendaring and meeting management. Additional responsibilities include project management, research support, and facilitating key communications functions such as inbox management. The Coordinator will also serve as a bridge to operational functions within the organization, helping to onboard and support program staff to maximize the use of internal finance, development, human resources, IT, and performance management systems. Sensitivity to confidential matters, along with a high level of professionalism, tact, and diplomacy, are essential.
Responsibilities
- Plan and coordinate meetings and events, including scheduling, preparing agendas, circulating documents, taking notes, tracking action items, researching venues, arranging vendors, designing registration processes, and liaising with attendees.
- Manage administrative tasks for the team, including program management (Asana), scheduling (Outlook/Doodle/Calendly), handling contracts and invoices, and coordinating team and external expenses (Certify).
- Contribute to team and organizational planning, strategy, and evaluation by tracking programmatic performance measures and facilitating meetings.
- Provide support for webinars, presentations, and video calls, including taking notes, managing breakout rooms, and designing materials.
- Research and prepare materials for meetings and presentations, compiling reference material as needed.
- Coordinate communications with key external partners and coalitions, and manage program-related information in Salesforce CRM.
Communications
- Manage inboxes and respond to general inquiries, elevating communications that require special attention.
- Review external communications, assets, and publications for accuracy, grammar, and design.
- Write blogs, social media posts, and talking points, and provide thought partnership as requested.
Partner Relations
- Provide project management support to PolicyLink-led initiatives in partnership with external organizations.
- Maintain confidentiality regarding policy, advocacy, and operations strategy among staff and external partners.
- Represent PolicyLink in meetings and convenings with community-based organizations, government and corporate partners, executives, policymakers, and advocates.
Internal Leadership
- Lead research projects related to program or function-specific tasks (e.g., policy tracking or IT platforms) to advance PolicyLink priorities.
- Provide support for team retreats and partner convenings, including planning, agenda-setting, and post-event project management.
- Serve on internal advisory committees, contributing to the development of organization-wide administrative policies, including 401(k) offerings, data governance, and employee safety.

- Ability to work effectively and efficiently (both virtually and in-person) with minimal supervision.
- Confidentiality and discretion in handling sensitive information with integrity.
- Event and logistics management experience.
- Outstanding interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse staff and partner organizations.
- Tact, poise, professionalism, and diplomacy.
Experience Qualifications
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in project management, administrative, executive, and/or operations support.
- A bachelor’s degree or higher, or relevant professional certification and/or experience.
Compensation and Benefits
PolicyLink offers competitive salaries commensurate with the experience and skills of our employees. The starting salary range for this position is $70,000–$80,000.
