POLITICO is looking for an associate producer to support our editorial team in our rapidly-expanding live events operation.
We are looking for a creative and thoughtful story-teller who can spearhead an effort to build video content that will complement and amplify our live events. The ideal candidate is a self-starter with experience creating smart, thoughtful, and visually appealing content that will bring to life our ambitious expansion of live events. This person is also adept at navigating social media and creating content that captivates audiences in those spaces.
The role is highly collaborative; one that requires a combination of attention to detail, a creative approach to traditional storytelling, proactive communication, and an ability to work with members of our editorial, commercial, and audience teams. This is a unique opportunity to build a new model from the ground up.
This position is based out of our HQ in Arlington, VA, that reports to the Executive Producer, POLITICO Live.
What You'll Do :
- Write, direct, produce and edit video content to be used within our live events
- Work with the newsroom to clip and edit news making content at each event and get it out and online instantaneously
- Work with commercial team to develop unique products for clients
- Work with communications team to use content to amplify the event coverage
- Work closely with newsroom teams to facilitate coverage, livestreams and social media amplification of individual events.
Support team with administrative and organizational needs.
