POLITICO is seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented HR Coordinator to provide critical administrative and operational support across the full employee life cycle.
In this dynamic, employee-facing role, you will be the backbone of our HR team, ensuring seamless execution of processes and programs while delivering an exceptional employee experience. Sitting at the intersection of multiple HR verticals—including HR Business Partners, Total Rewards, HR Systems & Data Insights, and Talent Acquisition—this role is ideal for a proactive and service-oriented professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment.
What You’ll Do:
- Manage the AskHR Support Inbox – Serve as the first point of contact for employee inquiries, triaging requests, providing timely responses, or escalating issues to the appropriate HR team member
- Schedule HRBP Meetings & Exit Interviews – Coordinate key HR meetings, including exit interviews, performance discussions, and other essential HR touchpoints
- Facilitate New Hire Orientation – Own the weekly onboarding process, ensuring a smooth experience for new employees by collaborating with IT and Facilities to arrange technology and equipment needs
- Maintain HRIS Records – Upload and update employee documents in the HRIS (UKG) with precision, ensuring data accuracy and confidentiality.
- Draft Employee Statements of Change – Prepare documentation for job title changes, compensation adjustments, and other employment-related updates under HR leadership’s guidance
- Support Off-boarding Processes – Manage employee off-boarding by coordinating exit interviews, sending departure instructions, and ensuring exit data is accurately recorded
- Edit & Format HR Documents – Assist in refining and formatting HR policies, presentations, and other internal communications to ensure clarity and professionalism
- Ensure Process Efficiency – Identify opportunities to streamline HR administrative workflows and enhance operational effectiveness
What You'll Need:
- Experienced in administrative roles, preferably in HR, with a strong ability to multitask and prioritize competing deadlines
- Proficient in HR systems, with familiarity in UKG (UltiPro) or similar platforms
- Highly organized and detail-oriented, with a proactive and solutions-driven mindset
- An excellent communicator, with strong interpersonal skills to engage with employees and HR stakeholders
- Discreet and professional, with the ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with care
- Tech-savvy and proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly PowerPoint, Excel, and Word
