ABOUT THE JOB

In this role, you are the first face our clients and public see.  You represent the values of Polk County Developmental Disability Services; client focused, trauma informed, integrity, respect and collaboration. You set the tone for a positive experience and help clients and the public feel at ease.  As the Administrative Receptionist, you provide customer service through receiving and directing phone calls and clients to the appropriate associates within the department.  This position is responsible for providing general office support, maintaining the flow of the office, answering questions through professional communication, conducting PSW (Personal Support Worker) enrollment and ongoing support for PSW timesheet processing, and document management. Our providers and staff know they can rely on you to support them with office operations. You maintain a professional demeanor at all times and ensure client information is kept confidential. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
High school diploma or GED equivalent; AND one (1) year of administrative support experience; OR any equivalent combination of training, education, and experience that provides the required skills and knowledge to perform the essential functions of the job.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

Bilingual Spanish speaking preferred which includes a 5% pay differential

Our Community:

Polk County is located in the Willamette Valley just an hour from the Pacific Coast to the west and an hour from Portland to the north. The population is approximately 87,000 and the county spans about 744 square miles, with two thirds of the western part of the county being forest. National protected areas include the Baskett Slough National Wildlife Refuge and Siuslaw National Forest.

 

The County is part of the agricultural richness the Willamette Valley has to offer. In recent decades, the valley has also become a major wine producer, with Polk County being one of the best in the area. The valley is often known as the “Oregon Wine Country”. Polk County has over 25 wineries alone.

Salary : $42,828 - $54,084
