Brief Description
ABOUT THE JOB
Performs bookkeeping and accounting tasks in preparation and maintenance of payroll, related taxes and benefits. Prepares and maintains various payroll, tax and benefit reports and records. Establishes payroll and general ledger accounts. Performs accounting work of complex difficulty and variety. Where work is more repetitive, there is an added degree of responsibility for finality of action.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Graduation from high school or completion of the equivalent GED certificate. Four years experience in an accounting or clerical position, supplemented by course work in bookkeeping or accounting; or any equivalent combination of experience and training.

Polk County is located in the Willamette Valley just an hour from the Pacific Coast to the west and an hour from Portland to the north.
