Polk County Public Health is seeking a dynamic and experienced full-time exempt Nursing Supervisor to join our team. In this key leadership role, you will coordinate with the CHS Administrator/Director and Assistant Director to plan, implement, and evaluate public health programs, services, and activities and community health efforts. As a Supervisor, you will provide specialized guidance and supervision to professional staff, offering your expertise and leadership to advance public health initiatives, health equity and the agency's values and mission. The duties and responsibilities of this position are performed with significant latitude for independent judgment in accordance with County policies, Federal, State, and Local regulations/statutes and are based on detailed knowledge of Department operations. Nursing Supervisor candidates will have a bachelor’s degree in nursing, be licensed to practice as a Registered Nurse in the state of Minnesota and have current certification as a Public Health Nurse in Minnesota. This position requires considerable experience with supervision, and a valid driver’s license or evidence of equivalent mobility and reliable transportation.
