Custom Job Purpose:
This position exists to assist in the classroom and in facilitating student intake.
Essential Functions of this Job
Assists with student intake procedures and assists teachers with student placement. Duties will also include attending required training as designated by the supervisor. This position will assist students in scheduling either individual tests or group tests as well as fielding follow-up test-related questions. Will provide documentation based on test records to support student placement and to assist in required annual reporting. This position will assist in the preparation of all testing materials and in setting up testing sites.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Proficiency on a computer using Microsoft Office software programs and established testing programs is required. Ability to understand written and oral instructions, to speak and write coherently, to maintain records and create reports, and to work cooperatively and professionally with other school personnel, parents, students and other social agencies is also required. Must be able to work a flexible schedule, including some evening hours for optimum student coverage. Must be willing to work and interact with a diverse adult student population. Bilingual/biliterate preferred.
Education, Experience and/or Certification/License Requirements
Graduation from an accredited high school or GED is required. Previous experience in assisting adult students in the enrollment and testing process is preferred.
Work Context:
Requires sitting and some standing, walking and moving about to coordinate work. Requires face-to-face discussions and contact with students, individuals and/or teams. Requires the use of alternative communication systems, such as electronic mail, telephones and computers. Requires coordination of work tasks to establish priorities, set goals and meet deadlines. Requires work with both internal and external contacts, and with the public.
Physical Environment:
Requires working indoors in environmentally controlled conditions. Requires sitting for the majority of the day, and the ability to lift, carry, move and/or position objects infrequently weighing up to 20 pounds.
