Responsibilities
- Develop and implement engaging lesson plans that align with educational standards and cater to diverse learning styles.
- Facilitate classroom discussions that encourage student participation and critical thinking.
- Assess student progress through various methods including standardized testing and provide constructive feedback.
- Manage classroom behavior effectively to create a positive learning environment.
- Collaborate with colleagues to enhance curriculum development and share best practices in instructional design.
- Incorporate learning technology into the classroom to enhance student engagement and learning outcomes.
- Maintain accurate records of student performance and attendance.
- Stay updated on the latest educational trends and methodologies.
Experience
Must possess a bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university and valid Florida's Educator's Certificate in a content area requiring a bachelor's degree.
- Proven experience as a Language Arts Teacher or in a similar role, preferably within a private school environment.
- Strong skills in copy editing and familiarity with various writing styles.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to connect with students effectively.
- Demonstrated ability in classroom management and creating an inclusive atmosphere for all learners.
- Knowledge of learning technologies that can be integrated into the curriculum is highly desirable.
Preferred Experience
- Bachelor's degree or higher in education, English, or a related field; teaching certification preferred.
- Two years' experience working with at-risk students. Experience in successfully integrating technology into classroom instruction. Experience in intensive academic prevention and intervention implementation. Prior successful experience utilizing and integrating academic prevention and intervention strategies.
