We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Cable Installer to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of various cabling systems, including Ethernet and fiber optics. This role requires a strong understanding of computer networking and the ability to work with hand tools and testing equipment. As a Cable Installer, you will play a crucial role in ensuring high-quality connectivity for our clients.
Responsibilities
- Install, maintain, and repair cabling systems, including Ethernet and fiber optic cables.
- Utilize hand tools and testing equipment such as voltmeters and ohmmeters to ensure proper installation.
- Perform fiber splicing and termination to ensure optimal signal quality.
- Collaborate with service technicians to troubleshoot network issues and implement solutions.
- Work with Cisco routers and other networking equipment to establish reliable connections.
- Follow safety protocols while working in low voltage environments.
- Document installation processes and maintain accurate records of work performed.
Requirements
- PROVEN EXPERIENCE in cable installation or related fields is preferred.
- Strong knowledge of computer networking principles and practices.
- Familiarity with cabling standards and best practices.
- Proficiency in using hand tools and testing equipment.
- Experience with Ethernet cabling, fiber splicing, and low voltage systems is highly desirable.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Strong communication skills to interact effectively with clients and team members.
