The Welder Shop Piping Foreman is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the welding and piping department. This role ensures the efficient execution of projects, adherence to safety standards, and delivering high-quality work within specified deadlines. The foreman will supervise a team of welders and pipefitters, coordinate resources, and maintain clear communication with project managers and other stakeholders. Key Responsibilities Supervision and Leadership Lead and manage a team of welders, pipefitters, and support staff. Assign tasks and responsibilities to team members based on project requirements and skill levels. Monitor team performance and provide training, guidance, and support to ensure high productivity and skill development. Project Coordination Interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and specifications to ensure accurate execution of work. Plan and schedule tasks to meet project deadlines and quality standards. Coordinate with project managers, engineers, and other departments to ensure alignment on project goals. Quality Control Inspect welds, piping assemblies, and materials to ensure compliance with project specifications and quality standards. Address and resolve issues related to defects, non-conformities, or rework requirements. Safety Compliance Enforce adherence to safety protocols and procedures in the shop environment.
