Job Description:
Poll Sound is seeking an AV Project Engineer that is excited about growing in the AV industry with Utah’s expert in sound and audio/visual systems. The right candidate will have a passion for sound and AV, love drawing, solving problems, and learning new technologies. The job will consist of reviewing estimates, bids, and designs for accuracy. Putting together submittal packages including all the shop and coordination drawings. Coordinating and engineering projects from the start through the commissioning of the project. It will involve working closely with sales engineers, job foreman, and lead techs to ensure all problems that arise on the job are quickly resolved. The projects will consist of all types of systems from small conference rooms all the way up to large stadiums and arenas.
Job Responsibilities and Skills:
- Experience with drafting and all types of construction documents.
- Self-motivated and dependable.
- Excellent problem-solving skills.
- Deep understanding of how sound and AV systems work.
- Detail oriented.
- Knowledge of construction.
- Great communication skills.
- Checks and submits equipment lists for ordering.
- Forecasts and tracks equipment timing.
- Commissioning of projects.
- Putting together submittals and as-builts
Education and Qualifications:
- 5 years’ experience in AV project engineering, management, and/or design
- Training and experience in drafting programs such as AutoCAD, Bluebeam, and Revit.
- High school or equivalent
- Valid Driver’s License
- CTS-D Certification a plus
- DSP and control system certifications a plus
