About The Role
We are looking for a qualified employee to operate events at the University of Utah. This person should thrive on organization and problem solving. This person will thrive on organizing events to the highest quality possible for our client, using Poll Sound best practices. We execute many productions a year and need quality people that will make all our clients feel like they are the most important to our company, because they all are. Our Rental Technicians will thrive in stressful situations and will use many critical thinking skills to solve problems that may arise. They have excellent communication skills. They need to have the best interpersonal skills with our clients and be able to try and resolve any conflicts that may arise. This is not a normal schedule position. Work times will vary weekly, some weeks at least 10 hours while others may require more. We care about our employees and their families and believe that providing a balance, as best we can, will also benefit our company.
Your Job Duties
- Execute events with attention to detail and striving for perfection
- Communicate with clients in a respectful and effective manner
- Stay up to date with the latest in technology, and industry standard equipment.
- Designing and planning production elements needed for the event
- Working with others to invoice the event, when completed.
- Set up, operate, troubleshoot, and strike various Audio, and Video equipment.
- Transport equipment for events, including sub-rental pickup and return.
- Other duties as assigned.
Skills & Qualifications:
- Basic AV technical skills
- Be familiar with wireless mic operation and basic video switching, or routing
- 1-3 year of AV experience
- Dante level 1 and 2 a plus, but not required

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $15.00 - $25.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
