What are the responsibilities and job description for the Warehouse Manager position at Pollak Food Distributors?
The Warehouse Manager helps lead the functional operations of the Warehouse facilities. This role reports to the Distribution Center Operations Manager and is responsible for overseeing tasks including, but not limited to, receiving, put-away, picking, packing, staging, loading and inventory management. They directly and indirectly supervise Warehouse Associates as they complete their daily responsibilities in a timely and safety-oriented fashion.
Primary Job Responsibilities
Supervise a shift to ensure that direct reports are adhering to safety and operational processes
Train team in the areas of safety, compliance, working effectively, and other areas
Establish team goals and work with each Associate to achieve and exceed their performance goals
Lead the process for accurate receiving and shipping activity in the warehouse
If needed, can operate warehouse equipment such as dollies, pallet jacks, forklifts, tow motors, cherry pickers, etc.
Perform all pre-operation inspections to ensure that the machinery is in working-order and fill out the inspection log
Ensure that facilities are clean and safe by thoroughly inspecting all areas
