Responsibilities:
The speech/language therapist is responsible for direct in-class and pull-out speech services and consultations that allow students access to the general education curriculum.
Student evaluation and IEP development are also requirements of the position. Candidates must be proficient in understanding and implementing special education plans, progress monitoring, scheduling, and coordination of services across multiple settings.
The candidate must have experience working with students with Intellectual Impairment, Autism, Moderate/Severe Language Impairment, as well as a strong skill set in the delivery of language pragmatic supports and instruction.
The ideal candidate will have experience working with students who use Augmentative and Alternative Communication systems.
Qualifications:
Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology
Certificate of Clinical Competency
3 years experience in a special education school setting
License: Massachusetts Department of Elementary and Secondary Education and Commonwealth of MA license as a Speech and Language Pathologist Selection
