Job Summary
We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented part-time accountant to manage daily financial operations and ensure the accuracy of accounting records. The ideal candidate will have experience with bank reconciliations, accounts receivable/payable, payroll processing, month-end closing, and financial reporting. Duties
- Review and reconcile bank accounts and credit card transactions monthly
- Prepare and manage monthly financial statements and supporting schedules
- Oversee accounts receivable, including invoicing, collections, and receipts
- Process bills, cut checks, and maintain the general ledger
- Complete month-end close and assist with quarterly financial submissions to CPA
- Administer payroll, including bi-weekly processing and benefits administration (health, life, IRA plans)
- Monitor inventory costs and sales tax filings
- Collaborate with related companies for intercompany entries
- Compile 1099 information for annual filing by CPA
- Provide financial reports to management, banks, and other stakeholders as requested

Qualifications
- Experience: Minimum of 5 years of accounting experience, ideally in a similar industry.
- QuickBooks: Strong proficiency with QuickBooks and Microsoft Excel is required.
- Financial Background: A background in finance is a plus.
- Knowledge of Accounting Practices: A thorough understanding of professional accounting and bookkeeping principles and practices.
- Detail-Oriented: Strong attention to detail and accuracy in financial reporting.
- Problem-Solving Skills: Excellent problem-solving abilities and the ability to identify and resolve discrepancies.
- Communication Skills: Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to communicate complex financial data in a clear and concise manner.
- Time Management: Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Hybrid Flexibility: Must be able to work in office three days and one day remotely per week (approximately 25-30 hours per week).
Additional Preferred Skills:
- Experience in the aviation or aerospace industry is preferred but not required.
- Familiarity with financial analysis, budgeting, and forecasting.
- Knowledge of basic tax preparation and filing.
- Knowledge of Oracle based products is a plus.

Pay: $25.00 - $30.00 per hour
