What You’ll Do:
- Actively participate in the creation, improvement and scaling of automation infrastructure
- Guide the team in coding best practices and design patterns
- Mentor junior team members
- Drive coding standards for the team
- Help integrate the automation test suite into our CI/CD environment
- Help the team prioritize automation work and define automation roadmap
- Review business requirements and attend feature overview walkthroughs
- Design and automate test cases using BDD in an Agile environment
- Execute tests cases and analyze test results
- Report, document, and track resolutions for software defects identified in the testing process using approved tools and processes
- Attend daily standup calls
- Collaborate with product managers and engineers
What You Have:
- Bachelor's degree in a Computer Science or related discipline
- Expert level in Cypress for UI and API testing
- Expert level in Typescript
- Experience building a cucumber based framework
- Experience using BDD to automate test cases in parallel with feature development
- 6 years experience doing test automation
- Experience being a technical lead for the rest of the automation team
- Strong analytical skills
- Strong interest in the software development lifecycle, focusing on software testing
- Highly motivated, resilient and a tenacious passion for winning
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Experience with a SaaS fintech startup preferred
- Mortgage capital markets experience highly preferred
- Python experience a plus
