Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and reliable Dishwasher to join our team in a fast-paced restaurant environment. The Dishwasher plays a crucial role in maintaining the cleanliness and efficiency of our kitchen operations. This position is essential for ensuring that all dishes, utensils, and kitchen equipment are thoroughly cleaned and sanitized, contributing to the overall success of our food service.
Duties
- Wash and sanitize dishes, glassware, utensils, pots, and pans using commercial dishwashing equipment.
- Maintain cleanliness of the dishwashing area and kitchen floors by sweeping and mopping as needed.
- Organize and store clean dishes in their designated areas promptly.
- Assist kitchen staff with food preparation tasks as required, ensuring a smooth workflow during busy service times.
- Follow all safety and sanitation guidelines related to food handling and kitchen operations.
- Help with inventory management by reporting any shortages or damaged items to the kitchen supervisor.
- Support catering events by ensuring that all necessary equipment is cleaned and ready for use.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in food service or hospitality is preferred but not required.
- Familiarity with culinary practices and food preparation techniques is a plus.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
- Strong teamwork skills with a willingness to help others in the kitchen as needed.
- Knowledge of proper food handling procedures and sanitation standards is beneficial.
- Must be able to stand for long periods and lift heavy items as necessary.
