We seek a talented Bookkeeper and Office Administrator for a full-time, in-office role. This person will oversee efficient accounting and administrative operations as part of a team, employing our policies and controls in all financial and administrative processes. This role, which reports to the Controller, will be essential in maintaining the integrity of our financial records.
The ideal candidate will be software-savvy and possess at least two years of experience in QuickBooks Online (QBO). Responsibilities
- Assist in overseeing financial activities such as AP, AR, banking, reconciliation, and journal entries.
- Prepare and maintain accurate financial reports, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations.
- Assist with balance sheet preparation, ensuring accuracy of financial statements.
- Utilize financial software, GSuite, CRM, Wex/fleet, Melio, Bill.com, and other platforms to manage payables/receivables, budgets, and expenses effectively.
- Ensure audit-readiness and provide support for audits.
- Assist in developing financial policies and procedures to enhance processes and efficiency.
- Provide support for any additional administrative tasks as required.
- Able to commute to a full-time, in-office role in Columbia 29212 (no hybrid option).
- Proven experience as an Accountant, Bookkeeper, or similar role focusing on finance or accounting.
- Proven proficiency in QuickBooks Online, minimum two years of experience, please.
- Strong understanding of financial concepts, including journal entries, balance sheet reconciliation, and adjusting journal entries.
- A degree in finance, accounting, or business administration is preferred, but experience in place of a degree will be considered, especially with a valid QB certification (please attach certification to your application)
