As the Controller you will play a pivotal role in overseeing the financial operations of our organization. You will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, analyzing financial data, and providing strategic financial guidance to the executive team. The Controller will also manage a team of professionals and work closely with various departments to ensure financial transparency and compliance.
To be successful as the Controller at Poly Print, you must be a hands-on financial leader with strong accounting expertise and attention to detail. This role requires managing day-to-day accounting functions while collaborating across departments to identify and implement cost-saving opportunities. Key Responsibilities
- Financial Reporting: Prepare and present accurate and timely financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, cash flow statements, and budget vs. actual reports.
- Budgeting and Forecasting: Collaborate with department heads to develop and manage annual budgets and forecasts. Monitor performance against budgets and provide recommendations for cost control.
- Payroll planning and budgeting: Payroll reporting, budgeting vs actual for manufacturing positions and administrative
- Financial Analysis: Conduct in-depth financial analysis to identify trends, variances, and opportunities for improvement. Provide actionable insights to support decision-making.
- Cash Management: Manage cash flow to ensure the availability of funds for day-to-day operations and investment opportunities. Maintain banking relationships and optimize cash balances.
- Audit and Compliance: Coordinate and oversee annual financial audits. Ensure compliance with accounting standards, tax regulations, and other financial laws.
- Team Management: Lead and mentor a team of professionals, including accountants and human resources. Foster a culture of continuous learning and development.
- Process Improvement: Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and accuracy within the finance department.
- Cost Control: Develop and implement cost control measures to optimize expenses while maintaining quality standards.
- Financial Strategy: Collaborate with the executive team to develop and execute financial strategies that support the company's growth and profitability goals.
- Risk Management: Identify and mitigate financial risks. Maintain insurance policies and contingency plans.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, or a related field; CPA or CMA certification preferred.
- 8 years of experience in financial management, preferably in the manufacturing or printing industry.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Business Dynamic software and ERP systems.
- Proficiency in the ADP payroll system
- Proficiency with Microsoft Excel
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial regulations, and reporting standards.
