Job Summary:
Sourcing and purchasing raw material and non-raw material on a quality/ cost comparison basis for overall operation.
Coordinate the scheduling and delivery of raw materials/ non-raw material to ensure a continuous material supply to meet production requirement.
You will have sourcing responsibilities for other indirect items as deemed appropriate, managing, and maintaining raw material master data and ensuring we receive the best overall value for the dollars spent.
Responsibilities:
· Effective planning based on customer demand and forecast.
· Monitor and control inventory of raw material & components.
· Manage supply review and stock replenishments to ensure components availability to meet demand as per the forecast.
· Work closely with internal departments to ensure meet customer delivery schedule.
· Source and purchase the necessary materials, parts, and services as required by internal customers in a timely manner.
· Coordinate the timely return of damaged and/or improperly shipped materials with vendors.
· Work effectively with production and maintenance personnel to assure their material and parts needs are being met.
· Own and maintain raw material and parts master data.
· Maintain purchasing records, review late open orders and contact suppliers to expedite delivery.
· Develop and enhance long-term supplier relationships within a win-win environment.
· Verify and rectify any non-3-way match invoices with vendors and internal members.
· Identify and support productivity initiatives resulting in best quality, at best cost.
· Work with others to streamline the current buying procedures.
· Prepare and solicit bids and quotations as needed.
Experience/Qualifications:
At least 2-3 years plus of experience in procurement, supply chain management, or a related field is required. This involves experience in purchasing, vendor management, contract negotiation, and other procurement-related activities. Demonstrated expertise in procurement processes, including strategic sourcing, vendor management, and contract negotiation.
