The Maintenance Manager leads all maintenance operations, including project management, team supervision, and the upkeep of equipment, facilities, and vehicles. This role is responsible for ensuring maintenance tasks are completed efficiently, schedules are maintained, and both preventive and reactive maintenance activities meet high-quality standards. The ideal candidate will excel at keeping the team focused, optimizing workflows, and ensuring smooth operational performance.
Key Responsibilities:
- Project Management: Plan, execute, and oversee maintenance projects from start to finish, ensuring that projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.
- Team Leadership: Lead, motivate, and manage the maintenance team, assigning tasks, setting priorities, and ensuring the team is well-equipped and trained to perform their duties effectively.
- Maintenance Scheduling: Develop and maintain a comprehensive maintenance schedule, ensuring that routine maintenance and inspections are carried out on all equipment, facilities, and vehicles in a timely manner.
- Equipment & Facility Management: Oversee the maintenance of all machinery, tools, and vehicles, ensuring they are in good working order and performing regular inspections to prevent breakdowns.
- Problem-Solving: Troubleshoot and resolve maintenance-related issues promptly, minimizing downtime and ensuring operations are not disrupted.
- Inventory Management: Maintain an inventory of parts, tools, and equipment to ensure the team has the resources they need and ensure the proper handling and storage of all maintenance supplies.
- Compliance & Safety: Ensure that all maintenance operations comply with safety regulations and standards. Conduct safety training for the team and ensure that all equipment meets safety protocols.
- Documentation & Reporting: Keep detailed records of maintenance activities, including inspections, repairs, and preventive maintenance. Provide regular updates and reports to upper management on team performance, project status, and equipment condition.
- Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities for process improvements and cost-saving initiatives in the maintenance operations and make recommendations for optimizing resources and efficiency.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering or Associate’s degree in maintenance or equivalent experience.
- 5 years of maintenance management experience in a manufacturing environment.
- Experience with CMMS.
- Strong knowledge of hydraulics, pneumatics, electrical systems, and PLC troubleshooting.
- Strong project management skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Familiarity with lean manufacturing, Six Sigma, or other continuous improvement methodologies.
- Excellent leadership skills with the ability to motivate and manage a team.
- In-depth knowledge of maintenance processes, tools, and equipment.
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Knowledge of ISO 9001, safety regulations and regulatory compliance requirements.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks effectively.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to lift heavy objects and perform manual tasks as required.
- Ability to work in various environments, including on-site and in maintenance areas.
Salary : $96,000 - $120,000
