Your Daily Life

Poly Vinyl Creations is a manufacturing and distribution corporation of specialty outdoor products. Production personnel work in and out of open warehouses and awnings in various weather conditions.

Minimum Experience Required:

• Background in DIY projects, construction, fabrication, or other technical fields

• Experience with basic hand and power tools

• Working knowledge within the production and/ or construction related fields

Minimum Education Required

• High School Diploma or Equivalent (GED) or Construction-Related Work Experience

Roles & Responsibilities of the Position

The main things you will be responsible for?

• Maintaining a clean, organized and safe work area and improving on any zone I may be working in at the time

• Operating various hand and power tools and other related equipment

• Stacking, organizing and combining items on various size pallets and utilizing problem-solving and critical thinking skills to minimize cost and maximize packaging for our customers

• Assembling product after it has been fabricated for assembly - I may even have the opportunity to be involved in the fabrication part prior to assembly

• Multi-tasking and cross-training within various zones in the organization

• Learning various positions to be a well-rounded employee who can perform in various zones as demand regularly adjusts among zones

• Documenting and reporting to my production lead any issues, concerns or solutions i have for a better workplace environment

• Perform all other duties and tasks as assigned that employee is capable of that is within the scope of the mission, values and goals of the company

Day to Day Activities You may be doing

• Perform daily checklists prior to operating any equipment and alert of any urgent issues immediately

• Adhere to rules, policies and procedures of the organization as well as requirements and best management practices for related industry regulations as it relates to OSHA, DOT, EPC, etc.

• Review daily production tickets and assignments and ask questions or for additional training if unsure on any ticket or assignment

• Assess material parts that I am working with while minimizing damage and scrap material and providing quality finished goods to quality control and shipping

• Submit documentation for completed and in process production tickets, affected inventory, and scrap and damaged reports at minimum

Qualifications and Skills Required of the Position

You should have basic knowledge of or capability for:

• Capability to lift 50 kbs

• Hand-eye coordination

• Ability to utilize various hand and power tools

• Basic knowledge of Regulatory agency requirements (OSHA, EPA, DOT, etc.)

• Basic math skills including problem solving skills for algebraic equations

• Basic working knowledge of industry related machinery including but not limited to CNC machines, saws, notchers, pallet jacks, etc.

• Basic oral and written communication skills

• Basic attention to detail skills

• Adaptability
