What are the responsibilities and job description for the 2nd Shift Machine Operator position at Poly Vinyl?
2nd Shift, Monday to Friday, 2:45 PM to 11:00PM
Poly Vinyl is a leading custom plastic extrusion company with comprehensive product offerings.
The ideal candidate will be a hard-working team player that is mechanically inclined and likes working with their hands. The individual will be part of a growing team with opportunities for growth within the company.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
· Identify defects and escalate to Supervisor or Setup Technician.
· Use a variety of tools to perform dimensional checks on extruded parts.
· Complete and document quality checks, including checks within other departments.
· Prepare extruded parts for shipment in accordance with shop packet details.
· Complete daily process logs and documentation according to standards.
· Affix labels and tags for accurate movement, tracking, and shipping purposes
· Work with peers to meet customer needs and organizational goals.
Education and Experience Requirements
· High school diploma or equivalent
· Proven mechanical abilities
· Basic math skills
· Ability to stand and lift/move up to 25 lbs. frequently; ability to lift/move up to 50 lbs. occasionally
· Vision abilities: close, distance, color, peripheral, depth perception, and able to adjust focus
· Previous machine operation/set-up experience highly preferred
