What are the responsibilities and job description for the Manufacturing Process Operator position at Polycon Industries?
Job Summary:
Polycon Industries is seeking individuals who have strong troubleshooting and mechanical skills, and MUST have prior experience operating multiple lines. The position assures efficient and smooth operation in the production of quality plastic products and is responsible for assuring that bottle production meets company and customer standards. The position coordinates with Maintenance and Quality Control, and oversees machine operator work.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
Function #1: Check product to assure that standards are met; make adjustments if required.
Function #2: Coordinate with other shifts to see if there are any problems that need resolution.
Function #3: Communicate with the QC supervisor to check for quality issues; check for sample requests.
Function #4: Ensure that machine is operating at the proper setup sheet profile.
Function #5: Check the schedules for any changeovers.
Function #6: Log all machine adjustments
Function #7: Oversee machine operators, assuring that areas are clean, tasks performed, and manning schedule meets demand.
Function #8: Operate and monitor machinery and equipment by following standard operating procedures (SOPs) to ensure product quality
OTHER RESPONSIBILITIES: Assist Maintenance Department in cleaning tooling and processing changeovers; perform general maintenance duties, cover breaks and lunches, and other duties as assigned.
POSITION REQUIREMENTS: Candidates MUST have prior experience as a process operator or seasoned machine operator in a manufacturing setting, as well as troublshooting abilities.

Pay: $18.00 - $24.00 per hour
