Position Overview:
Polycor Indiana Limestone is seeking a skilled Loader Operator to join our Quarry team, working between two quarry locations in the Oolitic area. In this role, you will be responsible for the safe and efficient operation of a front-end loader to handle and transport large stone blocks within our busy stone facility. Your duties will include loading and unloading trucks, moving materials across the site, and ensuring the safe handling of high-value natural stone. This is a hands-on, safety-focused position that requires precision, attention to detail, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, outdoor environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Ability to work forty-hour work week.
- Ability to work occasional mandatory overtime.
- Ability to multi-task and work at a set pace to meet production goals.
- Ability to operate safely around people, equipment, stone, and other items.
- Responsible for helping clean up any pieces/chips that might have broken off during the handling process.
- Perform daily operator checks list and lubricate equipment to set standards.
- Ability to successfully complete company provided individual training.
- Ability to meet physical requirements of the position including year-round inclement weather, and lifting up to 50 pounds
Experience & Qualifications:
- Experience operating heavy equipment required
- Front End Loader experience preferred
- Satisfactory background check and drug test required
Position Details:
- Job Type: Full-Time
- Starting Pay: $19.00 per hour
- Attendance Bonus: Additional $1.00 per hour
Work Schedule:
- Shift: 8-hour shifts, 5x8 schedule, 6:00am - 2:00pm
- Overtime as needed, 10hr shifts
- Location: Flexible to travel between quarries in Oolitic.
