Summary:
The Finance/Accounting/Company Controller reports to the Chief Executive Officer and plays a pivotal role in managing all accounting functions. This position ensures accurate financial reporting, regulatory compliance, budget management, and provides strategic financial insights aligned with the company’s mission. Candidates should possess knowledge of all aspects of GAAP. Experience in public accounting is highly valued.
Essential Responsibilities:
Financial Reporting:
- Prepare accurate and timely financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements, in accordance with GAAP.
- Oversee the monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reporting processes, analyzing variances and presenting insights to leadership.
Accounting Operations:
- Managing the accounting team, overseeing accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and general ledger.
- Managing the budget and forecasting process
- Assessing current accounting operations, offering recommendations for improvement and implementing new processes.
Compliance and Audit Management:
- Ensure compliance with federal and state regulations
- Manages external auditors and tax accountants to ensure timely and accurate completion, providing support when needed.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance & Certified Public Accountant (CPA) license.
- Minimum 8 years’ experience in public accounting.
- Excellent communication and leadership abilities.
- Experience with ERP/MRP systems.
