Location: Sidney, OH
Position / Shift Details:
- 2nd shift: Monday through Thursday 4:00pm - 2:00am
Overtime (if needed) will vary based on production efficiency and/or customer needs.
This is a Full-Time, Direct Hire position. You will be immediately eligible for Holiday pay and vacation. Benefits(Medical, Dental & Vision) kick in the 1st of the month following your date of hire.
Company Summary: Polyfill LLC is a tier II automotive supplier that makes sound barrier material. Common uses for our products include automotive carpet, dash insulators, hood liners and trunk systems. We are also expanding our business to include building materials.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES for EXTRUSION OPERATOR include the following.
- Assists with changing sets in the Hauser.
- Assists with “threading” the extruded product and the cutting tools per the customer specifications.
- Verifying correct pallet size usage.
- Assists with Roll winder and other areas of the line as needed.
- Able to fill out production paperwork.
- Inspects products to verify conformance to specifications and directs setup and adjustments of machines.
- Recommends measures to improve production methods, equipment performance, and quality of product.
- Suggests changes in working conditions and use of equipment to increase efficiency of shop, department, or work crew.
- Estimates, requisitions, and inspects materials.
- Placing finished goods in proper location throughout the plant.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS for all positions:
Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure. Ability to work with the metric system and read a tape measure.
REASONING ABILITY for all positions:
Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS for all positions:
- While performing the duties of this job, the Associate is regularly required to sit; stand; walk; use hands to grip or hold; and talk, see and hear. The Associate frequently is required to step onto and off of a tow motor. The Associate is frequently required to reach with hands and arms. The Associate is frequently required to go up steps, stoop, kneel, or crouch. The Associate must regularly lift and/or move up to 10 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds, and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
