Polyglass USA, Inc. , a premiere roofing materials manufacturer, has an opening for an Accounts Payable Coordinator located at our Deerfield Beach, FL facility. This position will m anage, oversee and improve the Accounts Payable process by performing day-to-day accounting tasks of a detailed nature for Accounts Payable and the monthly accounting tasks and ensuring the integrity of the accounting system and is responsible for the timely and accurate research, analysis, reconciliation, and reporting of financial information.
What You Get To Do:
- Enters/posts accounts payable invoices into general ledger system.
- Researches and resolves payment discrepancies.
- Monitors recurring invoices/vendor payments.
- Match invoices to checks to ensure payments are properly applied.
- Receive and validate vendor invoices, payment processing, answer vendor inquiries, and assist in investigation of pricing/cost discrepancies.
- Reconcile vendor statements.
- Assist in monthly closings and maintain monthly reports.
- Assist accountants in projects such as year-end tax work paper or other periodic projects.
- Perform other duties related to cash processing or control as assigned.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Detail oriented with strong organizational skills.
- Must be a team player with a positive attitude.
- Knowledge of accounts payable cycle.
- Knowledge of general accounting principles and procedures required.
- Must be a self-starter and work independently with little supervision.
- Ability to use logic and reason in dealing with problems.
- Must have a high attention to detail and accuracy and exhibit good problem-solving skills.
- Perform other duties as required.
What We Look For:
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and Power Point.
- High School Diploma or GED required.
- Minimum 3 - 5 years previous accounting and/or bookkeeping experience is required.
- AS-400 or other enterprise-wide system experience preferred.
