What are the responsibilities and job description for the Medical Receptionist position at Polygon Physical Therapy?
Our team is looking for a motivated individual who would like to work in a team-oriented environment. The individual will be paid for a two week training period in which they will acquire all of the skills needed to perform the job! Front desk receptionist responsibilities include (but are not limited to) answering the phones, verifying insurance benefits, clearly explaining insurance benefits and financial responsibility to clients and patients, ensuring that all clients and patients fill out necessary waivers, scheduling new and existing clients and patients appointments, maintaining a small retail space, collecting in person payments, and providing support to the practitioners in the facility.
Skills:
- Work experience in a front desk role, receptionist, and/or customer service
- Experience in verifying health insurance benefits via phone and/or online portals
- Personable and able to work with a variety of personalities
- Professional communication skills
- Must be a proactive worker and able to anticipate needs of patients and practitioners
- Having the ability to speak to law offices, doctors offices, and current therapists in medical terminology
- Understand and speak Spanish
- Ability to handle detailed conversations with patients and health care providers about scheduling, payments, insurance benefits, treatment plan, etc.
- Flexible schedule - this position has potential to turn into a full time position
