The Mold Maker position will maintain and alter injection molds used in plastic parts manufacturing.
Duties/Responsibilities:
- Maintain production tooling through schedule maintenance or as required.
- Manufacture/repair mold components using standard shop equipment including CNC mill.
- Use various measuring and gauging tools to perform necessary inspections.
- Help set up equipment used for secondary machine operations.
- Maintains knowledge of materials and products.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.
- Thorough understanding of machinery and injection mold building.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Thorough understanding of applicable safety rules.
- Successful completion of a formal apprenticeship program, technical school training program, or
Physical Requirements:
- Prolonged periods standing.
- Must be able to lift and move up to 50 pounds at a time.
- Superior manual dexterity, muscular control, and delicate touch necessary to complete precision
- Visual acuity to read blueprints and perform visual inspections.
