The Opportunity:
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Maintenance Technician II to play a crucial role in maintaining the smooth operation and peak performance of our manufacturing plant. This position requires a candidate with a minimum of 3-5 years of experience in a similar setting, with a strong background in fabrication, welding, electrical systems, hydraulics, and preventative maintenance practices.

- Equipment Maintenance: Conducting regular preventative maintenance on production equipment and facilities, developing and implementing schedules that maximize equipment lifespan and minimize downtime.
- Repair and Fabrication: Utilizing your fabrication and welding skills (MIG, TIG, Arc) to repair, modify, and create custom parts for machinery.
- Electrical System Management: Assisting with the installation, troubleshooting, and repair of AC/DC electrical systems and components, following industry standards and safety regulations.
- Hydraulic Systems Maintenance: Applying your knowledge of hydraulic systems to perform installations, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs.
- Technology Use: Using Fiix software to manage maintenance activities, track work orders, and maintain accurate records within a digital system.
- PLC Systems Support: Supporting the troubleshooting, programming, and repair of PLC (Programmable Logic Controller) systems to ensure efficient operation of automated processes.
- Problem-Solving: Diagnosing mechanical and electrical issues, identifying root causes, and implementing effective solutions.
- Safety Compliance: Ensuring all maintenance activities comply with OSHA standards and company safety policies.
- Documentation: Maintaining detailed records of work performed, including work orders and maintenance logs using Fiix software.
- Team Collaboration: Working closely with production staff to understand equipment issues and ensure prompt resolution. Coordinating with other maintenance team members and departments on projects.
- Continuous Improvement: Participating in initiatives to enhance equipment reliability and plant performance.
- Emergency Response: Responding promptly to emergency breakdowns to minimize production interruptions.
- Mentorship: Providing guidance and training to junior maintenance technicians, fostering a culture of continuous learning.
Qualifications:
- Minimum 3-5 years of experience as a Maintenance Technician in a manufacturing plant environment.
- Proficiency in fabrication and welding techniques (MIG, TIG, Arc).
- Strong knowledge of AC/DC electrical systems, with the ability to read and interpret electrical schematics.
- Experience with hydraulics, including system components and maintenance procedures.
- Experience with Fiix software for maintenance management.
- Familiarity with troubleshooting and repairing PLC systems.
- Proficiency with a variety of maintenance and repair tools and equipment.
- Strong diagnostic and troubleshooting skills for mechanical and electrical systems.
- High school diploma or equivalent required. Technical certification or associate degree in a related field is preferred.
- Commitment to safety procedures and promoting a safe work environment.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Ability to lift heavy objects, stand for extended periods, and work in various conditions (e.g., heat, cold, heights).
