Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled Mold Changeover Technician to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will possess strong mechanical knowledge and experience with precision measuring instruments. This role involves working with various manufacturing processes, including plastics extrusion and blow molding, while ensuring adherence to quality standards and operational efficiency.
Responsibilities
- Operate and maintain machinery, including forklifts, to support production processes.
- Utilize precision measuring instruments such as micrometers and calipers to ensure product specifications are met.
- Troubleshoot and repair equipment, including logic controllers, to minimize downtime.
- Collaborate with team members to implement lean manufacturing principles for improved efficiency.
- Conduct routine inspections of machinery and production lines to identify potential issues.
- Assist in the setup and changeover of production equipment for different product runs.
- Maintain accurate records of production metrics and equipment maintenance.
Requirements
- Proven experience in a technical role within a manufacturing environment.
- Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to understand complex machinery.
- Familiarity with plastics extrusion and blow molding processes is preferred.
- Proficiency in using precision measuring instruments such as micrometers and calipers.
- Experience with logic controllers and basic troubleshooting skills.
- Knowledge of lean manufacturing practices is a plus.
- Basic math skills
- Basic knowledge of tooling and production equipment
- Ability to safely operate a pallet jack and various models of forklifts
